Are You Worshipping God In Spirit And In Truth?

This Bible study course is written with the hope of helping us to worship God in the way that is acceptable to the Lord so we can go to heaven when this life is over.  Jesus says in John 4:24, "God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth."  The reason I have used such a large number of scriptures throughout this course is to point to the truth of what God has said on how He is to be worshipped, and not what I say.  For us to worship God in spirit and in truth we must make sure we obey all of His commandments as given by Him in the Bible on how He is to be worshipped.  In this course I have tried to point to only what the Bible says, and not to what I think.  We must speak where the Bible speaks and be silent where the Bible is silent.  We must do things in Bible ways and call things by Bible names.  Anything that is less than, more than, or different from what the Bible says is false doctrine.  If we fail to follow God’s instructions it becomes sin, we will be lost and punished along with Satan in eternal torment.
There is much confusion in the religious world today concerning worship.  There are more than 600 different religious denominational churches, each with different doctrines and beliefs, who are attempting to worship God in ways contrary to what He says in the Bible.  As we sing, pray, give, partake of the communion, and as the gospel sermon is preached, it must be done according to God’s instructions in the Bible.
Unless otherwise noted, all scripture quotations are from the New King James Version of the Bible, Copyright © by Thomas Nelson Inc.  I have bolded certain words and phrases for emphasis.  All scripture quotations are in red.
This course is divided into twenty-four (24) lessons.  After each lesson you are asked to answer several interactive multiple choice and true-false questions concerning what you have just studied.  The correct answer is found in the scripture reference that is listed with the questions.  Click on the answer of your choice and a dialog box will appear telling you if your answer is correct or wrong and why.  It is my hope and prayer that the scriptures pointed out in this course will help you to worship God in spirit and in truth
